CPI is a 501(c)(3) public safety educational institution and Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Training School.

We provide a wide range of training, including live-fire firearms training, force-on-force scenario training, DCJS curriculum courses, foreign weapons familiarization, LEOSA required qualification, investigator training, and executive protection training.

Specialized Operator Weapons Training

CPI offers live fire training in weapons including:

the HK MP5, UMP45, G3 and G36 systems,
M16/M4/AR platforms
FN Herstal’s M249 Squad Automatic Weapons,
M240 General Purpose Machine Guns,
M2 Browning Heavy Machine Guns,
M79/M203 40mm munitions launchers,
as well as numerous other modern and legacy military and specialized operator weapons.

 

Foreign Weapons Familiarization

CPI offers hands-on operator and armorer training in the use of the following East Bloc weapons:

Samozaryadnyi Karabin sistemi Simonova (SKS)
7.62×39 Semi-automatic Rifles;

Automatic Kalashnikova (AKM/AK-47/AK74)
7.62×39 and 5.45x39 Automatic Rifles (machine guns) and variants;

Ruchnoy Pulemyot Kalashnikova (RPK)
7.62×39 and 5.45x39 Light Machine Guns;

Pulemyot Kalashnikova Modernizirovanniy (PKM)
7.62x54R General Purpose Machine Guns;

 Ruchnoy Pulemyot Degtyareva (RPD)
7.62×39 Light Machine Guns;

and the Ruchnoy Protivotankovyy Granatomot-7 (RPG-7)
Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher.

LEOSA

Any CPI Entry-Level or In-Service Handgun course meets Virginia residents’ annual training and qualification requirement under the Law Enforcement Officers’ Safety Act.

After completing the course, CPI will provide the retiree with proper documentation to verify additional LEOSA qualifications.
